Collaborative Law
Collaborative law is often termed “The no court divorce”. It is fast becoming a prefered option for couples who want to work together to resolve issues arising as a result of relationship breakdown without the threat of court procedings.
The couple agree from the outset with their lawyers that they will not issue court procedings and will work together to achieve a solution, putting the priorities of their children first.
The collaborative process involves a series of meetings between the couple and their lawyers in an open and non confrontational setting. Both parties have the support and guidance of their own legal representatives during the process but retain full control of creating their own settlement.
This process is suitable for couples who seek to maintain long term relationships.
